Hubby and I started our Friday evening early. Very early! 4:15 pm to be exact. As we come to the end of May, the nights are finally drawing out, weatherwise, the last few weeks, have been amazing (well for Wales they have)! Time to take advantage of all of this light and warmth. So, a very good bottle of red was opened (as you do) and left to breathe in the late afternoon warm air. Cheese, crackers and a Moroccan hummus, laid out on the table of our newly revived Jack and Jill (courtesy of hubby). Easy chat, laid back and relaxed. The kind of evenings we've been yearning for through the long Winter/early Spring evenings. 'Let's take advantage while we have it' we say. Next week may be totally different and we'll have missed it if we don't 'do it now'. Cloud gazing whilst the red wine flowed. And on the breeze, the scent of my lovely Lady Charlotte roses comes to me. Dougie, our Shih Tzu, belly full, knows that surely a bit of cheddar will fall his way - and it does. Oh my, this one has fallen in god's pocket. Hopefully, many more beautiful, warm, summer evenings to look forward to and live.
